your_non_profit_agent_bio2 Teresa Burton is a native of Jacksonville, FL. She is married to her best friend Larry L. Burton, Jr. and the mother of four beautiful daughters: Tiffany (Travell), Takesha, Larea and Jalah and grandmother of one Tamia Elaine (Her Bowl of Sunshine). She enjoys being a wife, mother, grandmother, mentor and pioneer, with her husband, as they raise the bar of purpose for marriages, families, ministries and businesses.

Teresa is the Co-Founder of Beyond Creation and The Father’s House Kingdom Ministries with her husband Larry L. Burton, Jr. She is the Founder of the Proverbs 31 Sisters Life Empowerment Program, iNSPIRING Magazine, SafeWalls- A Child Sexually Abuse Prevention Program and Your NONProfit Agent, LLC.

Teresa was introduced to Community Development by participating in community events hosted by local community base programs over 17 years ago. Embodied with great passion and desire to make Community Impact, she yearned to learn more in order to do more. With 17 years of Community Development experience, Teresa has and continues to facilitate change to improve the performance of community/family-based organizations.

Teresa worked with over 50 nonprofit organizations and foundations in organizational capacity building, strategic planning, fund development, succession planning and governance. Her training is one of a kind, utilizing various methods which make her sessions interactive and results-driven.

During her nonprofit career Teresa has assisted in raising millions of dollars to further the mission and capacity building of nonprofit organizations and community base programs. She is a certified facilitator and trainer for the Family Support Team Meeting, Sexual Child Abuse Prevention and Domestic Violence Prevention Program. She is also a certified facilitator for the Jacksonville Strengthen Family Network. She is a graduate of the Jacksonville Blueprint for Leadership and a graduate of the Jacksonville LISC AmeriCorps.

Teresa has served on various community boards such as the vice-president for the Morning Dove Center for Teen Girls and internship membership for the I M Sulzbacher Center Homeless. Using her wealth of career experiences, connections and resources, Teresa desire is to Educate, Engage and Empower you to make a Community IMPACT.
